Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, and a Happy Winter Solstice too!
Hitting the ground running, or maybe rolling after all the Thanksgiving desserts, I’m working diligently this week to get ready for two exciting shows next weekend. The Emerson Umbrella for the Arts in Concord, MA is setting up their annual Winter Market. It is a wonderful space, in walking distance to the town center, some fine restaurants, and locally owned shops. The Winter Market is free and open to the public.
My two favorite shows are on the same dates this year so my husband and right hand man, Erik, is stepping into the spotlight at the Umbrella while I’m in Boston for the weekend. He handpicked the Studio 200 Glass items he wanted in ‘his shop’ (like the piece featured here) and he’s looking forward to welcoming you all weekend!
The second show of the week is the spectacular CraftBoston Holiday. There are big changes to the show this year. It is moving from the Cyclorama venue in Boston’s South End to the Hynes Auditorium in the Back Bay and the number of artists is doubling (to over 200). I’ll be bringing a selection of stenciled geometric tiles from the 2014 lines, along with pieces from the “Off the Grid” series, current tabletop serving pieces, and Zen birds wall vases.
I also found a coupon for discount admission, thanks to Yankee Magazine, for you to use. Visit http://www.societyofcrafts.org/coupon.asp (Use the code YANKEE)
Final show for 2014: For all of you local, last minute shoppers; I’m bringing a unique selection of prototypes and experimental pieces to an Open Studio Sale right here in Bedford. Come visit me at Clayful Expressions studio in Bedford Center.
More info about all three show can be found at “Out and About”.
